How Meta Muse asks a business a question by phone
See how to ask Meta Muse to check a shop’s closing time through Bland, including the connection choices, the request and how to check what was said.
Muse is Meta's personal AI agent. You give it an errand in plain words; it uses outside services to get it done. Bland makes AI that talks on the phone. Our Agent Phone Plan connects to Muse and gives it a dedicated US number for calls and texts.
Once Muse is connected, ask it to phone a business. Bland's AI voice speaks to whoever answers. Setup steps, approval settings, and price are on the Meta Muse phone calls page.

The prompt#
With Muse connected and the Agent Phone Plan started, type your request:
Call +1 415 555 0123, introduce yourself as my assistant, and ask what time they close today. The number above is made up. Use a real business number you are allowed to call when you try this yourself.
Check what came back#
Bland sends Muse a written call summary. Muse uses that to answer you.
What if I want Muse to text instead?#
Texting requires a dedicated number on the Agent Phone Plan. The AI phone number to text page explains how Muse starts a text conversation and how Bland answers replies.
If you need to follow up#
Ask Muse to retrieve the call result when you need the exact wording. If the business asks you to call back, Muse can pass that along so you can handle it.

FAQ#
Where is the Muse setup?#
The steps are on Meta Muse phone calls. If you already have a Bland account, give Muse your Bland API key through Muse's secure credential prompt so Muse can use your account. If you need an account, ask Muse to start signup, then finish signup and approve the connection yourself in a browser.
For developers: how does Muse connect to Bland?#
Muse uses Bland's REST API, which lets software send requests to Bland over the web. Each request carries your API key. Muse uses this connection to request calls and read the results; it does not use MCP, the tool-connection standard used by some other AI apps.
Is Bland part of Meta?#
No. Bland is a separate company. The Agent Phone Plan is a Bland product that connects to Muse.
